Come join us for an evening of community, prayer, worship, fellowship & connection with others seeking to know more about what is means to be a "follower" of Jesus. We launched these gatherings in hopes of helping each other better understand the Holy Fire of Hope that is living inside all of God's creation. The "HopeFire" is a small fire that we light as part of our time together to remind us that an eternal fire, like a lighthouse, keeps the beacon bright and can help us navigate safely through the storms of life. Pastor Sam and Kathy Jo along with the HopeFire Band and the support of the Tulalip Church of God, or "The Red Church" are hoping to help others be effective followers of Jesus, better reflections of His message of Hope, offer a safe space for unconditional Love, and share about the Fresh Hope Mental Health support group that they hope to launch Fall 2026.
We teach the Fruits of the Spirit as our message series and the gospel message that you will hear from us is that access to Jesus is not conditional upon what you think Jesus or the "church" thinks about you. We focus on worship, joy, freedom, honesty, prophecy as the Lord gives it not as man demands it, and we don't need a full house to know the "House" is full. We encourage freedom to be YOU and support the reality that we are all imperfect before we decide to embrace faith. You would be surprised to know how many people that go to church are still very confused about God, don't see a benefit to attending a church regularly, and are secretly wondering why knowing Jesus matters when those who know Jesus are not people they want to be like anyways.
This is not a gathering to convince you to believe in Jesus, but we hope that if you want to meet some of His people and maybe even ask some tough questions, we have opened the doors to make ourselves available to you. No matter your story, or your fear, we want to meet you and do our best to get you some answers and maybe even some help. HopeFire events are held to gather those who want to quiet their minds, open their hearts, take time to listen for God to speak, and improve their focus on what is important to God. Be sure to invite a friend or neighbor, come as often as you want for encouragement to have a great reason to get up tomorrow. If all you do is read this invite and we never meet, please know that you are not alone, you are loved, you are necessary, your victories and your sufferings have purpose. As pastors from United New Testament International, (UNTCI.org) we believe that the "church" is not limited to gathering on Sunday, and the Calling sometimes comes before the education. If you feel called and don't have support for your passion to share Jesus with others, please reach out and let us tell you about what makes UNTCI a fantastic place to connect with pastors around the world who are being the church everyday both inside and outside the walls of their homes and local churches.
Remember...every breath you take is a gift from God because it was with His last breath He promised us life and life abundantly if we entrust our tomorrow to Him.
We look forward to meeting you and supporting you as you navigate the journey God planned for you!!
