Apple Pie , Oh My! [Friday session]

Are you intimidated by pie pastry? Yearn to be able to whip up a seasonal fruit pie from scratch? This class is for you!

Learn how to make a scrumptious apple pie topped with lattice... just in time for Thanksgiving!

In this class you'll:

• learn the secrets of making flaky all-butter pie pastry from scratch and by hand!
• gain confidence in rolling out dough, crimping pie edges, and latticing a top crust
• practice knife skills (and safety!) while you prepare your fruit filling
• learn additional ways to customize a traditional apple pie to play with flavors and truly make it your own
• have fun with other awesome students learning & baking together
• learn pro tips you can apply to a variety of similar recipes
• take home an assembled pie to freeze and bake later, as well as the recipes for everything you made in class

ABOUT HANDS-ON BAKING CLASSES at the HOMEMADE KITCHEN

Hands-on baking classes are in-depth AND fun. Class sizes are small, so students have ample opportunity for guidance & questions. Some classes involve "group work" with other students, but you complete most of the activites yourself... and of course, you'll leave with your goodies!

One more note... baking classes at Homemade are about helping you feel more at home in the kitchen. We want you to build your confidence and creativity, NOT worry about being "perfect", so relax, ask questions, and have fun!
