Fall means one thing in Louisiana: college football. This November, we're embarking on a one-of-a-kind trip with Fried Egg Golf Club members and Fried Egg Golf subscribers to visit Seth Raynor's Metairie Country Club and take in a game at Tiger Stadium. All participants will receive a ticket to the Alabama v. LSU game on Saturday, November 7 as well as our full-day event at Metairie Country Club on Monday, November 9. Death Valley and Golden-Age architecture in one weekend, sound good?
Opens: Lottery available from Noon - Midnight ET on June 10, 2026
FEGC Early Access: Lottery available from Noon - Midnight ET on June 11, 2026
Cost: $1,395/player
Due to high demand for this event, we are converting this event to a lottery registration for both Fried Egg Golf Club members and public registrations. We will host two lotteries, one for FEGC members on Tuesday, June 10 from Noon - Midnight ET and one for the general public on Wednesday, June 11 from Noon - Midnight ET. FEGC winners will be emailed at 9:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, June 11. FEGC members who do not win the member-only lottery will be able to enter the public lottery as well. Winners of the public lottery will be emailed at 9:00 a.m. ET on Thursday, June 12. Should any additional spots be available we will open them to the public the week of June 15.
We apologize for the change in this registration but we feel this is the fairest way to allocate spots in a highly coveted event. Thank you for your understanding. Please feel free to email events@thefriedegg.com with any questions.
Two-person team best-ball competition. The morning round on November 9 will be a best-ball competition of pairs with prizes available to Gross and Net divisions. The afternoon will be a free-play round where everyone can play as much golf as they want (up to 36 holes) and experience all that Metairie has to offer.
Located in the heart of New Orleans, Metairie Country Club opened for play over 100 years ago in 1925. It was Seth Raynor's only design in the state and undoubtedly the best around. Over the years, the Great Depression and flooding issues required concessions and renovations at the club, causing much of Raynor's work to disappear. Following Hurricane Katrina, the club, like the city itself, rebuilt and persevered. Damage caused by the storm was widespread and an entirely new clubhouse needed to be built. It was in the late 2010s that the club had recovered to the point of being able to dedicate funds to the golf course, and they brought in architect Brian Silva for a "transformative restoration" project ahead of their centennial anniversary. Today, a completely overhauled design reflects Raynor's original with template holes, width, and fascinating green complexes.
