Join Health in the Hood’s mission to make healthy food accessible in underserved communities. Our garden volunteers play a vital role in maintaining our gardens and ensuring they remain productive, beautiful, and welcoming spaces for all.
Our gardens directly support our community members and offers educational programming. By volunteering, you’re helping us grow fresh produce that’s shared with families in need.
We meet every Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at our Pinewood Garden . Whether you’re looking to give back, learn more about gardening, or connect with others, your time and energy will make a difference.
Volunteers help with planting, weeding, composting, harvesting, laying soil, and general garden upkeep. No prior gardening experience is necessary, just a willingness to get your hands dirty and contribute to a meaningful cause.
Volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes, bring water, sunscreen, and wear clothing that can get dirty!
Open Mic Thursday! Sing, rap, perform poetry, comedy & more. Step up, grab the mic, and show us what you’ve got!
CONSTRUCTS II A performance grounded in the weight and live sound of an unfinished building, yet suspended in a state of groundlessness.
