Linocut: Print Your Own Holiday Cards

You will carve one block and print a stack of genuinely handmade holiday cards. First is design and carving, then learn printing production, where you will learn to ink consistently and pull 5-10 cards without losing your mind. Blank cards, envelopes, and ink included. Cards say whatever holiday you celebrate, or no holiday at all.

About the instructor: Christin Guthrie Smiertka

I’m a pet portrait artist who loves painting and drawing, and I especially love helping kids discover their creativity through art. I’ve loved art my whole life! I’m originally from Virginia, where I studied Art History, and have called Delaware home for over 10 years. I also run my own Etsy shop. My classes are fun, encouraging, and sometimes messy! My background as a paraprofessional inspired my love of working with kids, and I want every artist to feel confident.

This organization is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware arts events on DelawareScene.com
