Puerto Rican Bomba Dance Classes: DC Metro
About This Event
In this class series, participants will move, sweat, and connect while learning bomba fundamentals such as paseo, basic steps, rhythms, piquetes, regional styles, and historical context.
Each class builds upon the previous one as we explore multiple rhythms and deepen our relationship to the dance, the drum, and the communal space of Bomba.
10 y/o and older welcome. No prior experience required
$110 full series (5 classes ) or $28 for each class
Virtual option available via Zoom
Skirts are not required, they will be available for in-person participants
You are welcome to bring your own long, full-circle skirt
