Politics: Behind the Smile - Palmetto State Armory- Myrtle Beach, SC

Get ready for an eye-opening look at how politics really works. In this straight-talking presentation, Dr. Val Finnell goes beyond the speeches, handshakes, and political promises to explain what really influences elected officials—and why traditional lobbying often doesn't get the results we want.

Using the principles of “Confrontational Politics,” Dr. Finnell explains what motivates politicians, why they often avoid taking a stand on controversial issues, and why pressure from voters can be more powerful than simply having “access” to elected officials.Attendees will learn how to hold politicians accountable, examine candidates and their voting records, organize supporters, and make their voices heard when important legislation is on the line.

Designed for Second Amendment advocates who want to be more effective in the political arena, this session provides practical tools for turning concerned citizens into an organized grassroots force—one that elected officials cannot afford to ignore.
