The blues and the church have always been close kin, and on November 13th Jonté Mayon brings them together. The Blues Edition of Sacred & Soul Sessions moves from Sunday-morning spirit to Saturday-night grit in one evening of soulful vocals, deep grooves and stories that hit home.

You'll hear it all from the stage at the Dew Drop Inn. Called "the South's swankiest night spot," the Dew Drop opened in 1939 and is listed in the Negro Motorist Green Book. Ray Charles, Little Richard, Allen Toussaint and Irma Thomas all played here, and its famous late-night jam sessions helped give birth to new sounds. The Dew Drop has been restored to its former glory, and the music is back where it belongs.

Come for the music and stay for the history. Pull up a seat, grab a drink from the bar and let the music do what it does.
