The first Art Meetup open mic of the summer is June 6 in NYC. Free tickets are available now. RSVP before you forget and summer gets booked!
Open Mic • September 12, 2026 • Lincoln Center Performing Arts Library
There are moments in a creative life that stand out. Not because they’re loud or dramatic, but because they happen in the right room, at the right time, in front of the right people. This is one of those rooms.
On September 12, The Art Meetup returns to the Lincoln Center Performing Arts Library — a space that carries weight in New York’s cultural landscape. For independent artists, this is a rare chance to say you performed at Lincoln Center. A chance to place your work in a setting that honors it. A chance to step into a room where people show up ready to listen.
A limited opportunity for emerging and established performers
This open mic is intentionally intimate, and performance slots are limited. Artists are selected from the RSVP list and the performer group chat. If you want a real opportunity to take the stage, early RSVP matters.
Performing here isn’t just another night out. It becomes part of your creative story — something you can point to, something that signals you’re taking your craft seriously, something that opens doors.
What the night feels like
Live music. Poetry. Storytelling. Film moments. Photography. A room full of artists, musicians, poets, performers, filmmakers, photographers, designers, and neighbors who care about culture and community. Conversations that feel like they could only happen in New York.
Every time we gather here, something real happens. People meet collaborators. People rediscover their voice. People walk out feeling more connected than they did when they walked in.
Why artists choose this event
Prestige — performing at the Lincoln Center Performing Arts Library is a meaningful credit
Visibility — a larger, attentive audience that values independent artists
Atmosphere — intimate, warm, and deeply supportive
Momentum — a chance to practice your craft in a room that elevates your work
Community — artists who show up for each other
You don’t need to know anyone to attend. Many people come alone. Many leave with new collaborators, new friends, and new confidence.
Community supported
Your ticket helps cover sound, equipment, seating, art supplies, signage, and the real costs of creating a space where artists can show up as themselves. It keeps the night alive. It keeps the community growing.
If you’ve been waiting for a night that feels meaningful — a night that gives you something to look forward to — this is your invitation to claim it.
