AI for Small Business: What’s Actually Worth Using?

AI for Small Business: What’s Actually Worth Using?

Free bilingual workshop for Latino small business owners in Newport & Lincoln County

Date & Time: Wednesday, November 4 · 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Location: OSU Hatfield Marine Science Center (HMSC), Gladys Valley Marine Studies Building, Classroom 164

Is AI actually useful for your business — or is it just another technology you don't have time to figure out?

Join Latino Founders, EDALC, and the City of Newport for a practical, bilingual workshop designed for Latino small business owners in Newport and Lincoln County, with a focus on restaurants and construction businesses.

Instead of focusing on AI trends or complicated technology, we'll look at where AI can actually help your business save time, reduce costs, and make day-to-day work easier. You'll explore real examples and have the opportunity to try tools yourself, with guidance from our team.

You'll leave this workshop with:

• A clearer understanding of what AI can — and can't — do for your business
• Ideas for tasks where AI could help you save time or money
• Hands-on experience with practical AI tools you can use right away
• A better understanding of which tools are worth trying — and which may not be necessary
• A simple plan for identifying one or two areas where AI could make a difference in your business

What to bring:

• Your laptop, fully charged
• A Gmail/Google account you can use to access AI tools
• A few examples of tasks that take up too much of your time
• Questions or challenges you've been dealing with in your business

No prior AI experience is required. This workshop is designed to be practical, accessible, and focused on the real needs of small business owners.
