OCU's Jeanne Hoffman Smith Center for Film & Literature is pleased to host an intimate generative writing workshop with poet Ken Hada as part of the Fall 2026 Thatcher Hoffman Smith Poetry Series.
Designed especially for educators, teaching artists, and area poets, this hands-on evening will offer space to write, reflect, and engage with Ken's work in a collaborative setting. Participants will leave with ideas and inspiration to bring back to their classrooms and creative communities.
Event Details:
Tuesday, November 3rd, 2026
Walker Center 151, Oklahoma City University
5:30-8:30pm
The evening will include a social gathering with dinner provided and a generative writing workshop led by Ken Hada. When you register, you’ll be asked about any food allergies or dietary restrictions/preferences so we can make sure everyone is well taken care of.
Space is limited to 40 participants. Advance registration is required.
Because our goal is to serve educators across a range of schools and communities, priority registration will be given to current teachers during the initial registration period.
We look forward to gathering in community and celebrating the power of poetry together.
