4 Week | Slab Building Class with Phillip Strauss

Using rolled slabs of clay, students will learn how to create both functional and decorative ceramic forms while building confidence with fundamental handbuilding techniques. Throughout the course, participants will learn how to design, construct, and refine projects using slab-building methods, with opportunities to add texture, pattern, and personal creative touches. Students may create items such as mugs, trays, planters, boxes, wall art, and more. The class will also cover basic glazing techniques to bring finished pieces to life. All materials, tools, clay, and glaze are provided. No prior experience is necessary; just bring your curiosity and creativity!
