A Downtown Orlando Stage Since 1991

If you like the show Whose Line is it Anyway?, you’ll love our improv shows. In fact, SAK was the starting place for the careers of Wayne Brady, as well as actors and producers for Saturday Night Live, and sitcoms such as Scrubs, The Office, and 30 Rock. The vibe in our 170-seat Downtown theater is friendly, retro and super fun.

Choose Your Show Time

Both Friday and Saturday nights offer two performance times. While each show has a different name, it only reflects a minor difference in the show’s competitive theming. Both options have the same vibe and feel, so pick the time that works best for you!

7:00 PM Show: Duel of Fools

Two teams of professional improvisers compete for your laughs with audience judges selected at the start of the show. The actors make up songs, scenes, and characters right in front of your eyes with the help of the audience's suggestions and participation. Appropriate for all ages.

9:00 PM Show: King of the Hill

A larger cast of our professional performers pair up in teams of two and use audience suggestions to create scenes, songs and characters on the spot. After each round, the audience decides which team wins and which team loses. The winning team stays for the next round while the losers form new teams to dethrone the Kings. If this show were a movie, it would have a PG-13 rating.

"Always a laugh-till-you-cry experience. I’ve gone to shows at SAK sporadically for 15 years, and it never disappoints! Honestly, I’m always shocked when the place isn’t sold out. People don’t know what they’re missing! Do yourself a favor and go to a weekend night show to see what it’s all about. I can only imagine how much fun the classes are!"

"We had such a great time, Hubby has never been to a comedy show and he's not one to laugh easily. I took him for his birthday and he had an excellent time and enjoyed the comedians and atmosphere. We will definitely go back. The concession stand prices where very reasonable as well."
