Community Listening Sessions - Comprehensive Shade and Heat Mitigation Plan

The City of Palm Springs Comprehensive Shade and Heat Mitigation Plan seeks to build resilience to extreme heat by developing a comprehensive set of heat reduction and shade equity strategies. The goal is to create inclusive, heat-resilient public spaces and policies through equitable community engagement, group listening sessions, civic leadership interviews, and targeted outreach that prioritizes accessibility and community inclusion. The plan will guide investments in shade, cooling infrastructure, and nature-based solutions across the city to help build community resilience and strengthen our collective response to extreme heat events.

We want to hear from you! Your voice matters to decide what to prioritize, where gaps remain, and how we build resiliency together.
