Office Services Specialist Apprenticeship

The Office Services Specialist Apprenticeship is an in-person event for employed workers interested in advancing their careers.

About the program

OAI, in partnership with Governors State University, offers a free, 12-week online apprenticeship program designed specifically for incumbent workers—people who are already employed. Training takes place after regular work hours. Participants develop administrative and professional skills and can earn a Certified Administrative Professional Certificate upon successful completion.

Eligibility and participation

• You must be at least 18 years old, live in Illinois, and already be employed.
• Your employer must agree to partner with OAI and support your participation.
• You must receive a wage increase within one year of participating in the training.

Participants receive a free Chromebook and access to financial coaching. The program supports career advancement, professional growth, increased wages, and greater financial stability.
