Paper is an underrated medium for the unsettling. It folds, it tears, it casts a shadow. This October, Crafter Hours leans into all of it.
Every week, the FOUND:RE Contemporary Studio opens up for a free, drop-in craft session, and this month the projects skew spooky: cut-paper silhouettes, folded bats, tiny haunted houses, and cards for people you'd like to mildly startle. Nothing too frightening. Mostly just paper with ambitions.
We'll have paper, scissors, and markers ready to go. You're also welcome to bring whatever you're already working on, including that DIY Halloween costume you swore you'd start weeks ago. Good company has a way of getting things finished.
No experience needed, and nothing needs to turn out perfect. Come solo, bring a friend, or bring the one who insists they're "not crafty." Stay for twenty minutes or the whole session.
When: 10/2, 10/7, 10/21, 10/28
Where: FOUND:RE Contemporary Studio OR the hotel lounge at FOUND:RE Phoenix, Roosevelt Row- Check with front desk.
