Weekly Tutoring for Grades 6-12

We will be continuing with our weekly open tutoring night this school year at the 56th Street building.

We meet every Thursday night from 7:00-8:30 PM in the Young Women’s room at the 56th Street building.  This tutoring is open to ANY child from 6th-12th grade; students are welcome to stop by for specific help with assignments, to work on an essay, to ask questions while preparing for tests and quizzes, to get help organizing a messy binder, to read out loud with an adult, to practice math facts, to build relationships with caring tutors, etc.

So many kids are searching for connection, belonging, and academic help... these evenings can be magical!  Not to mention that the students’ grades and confidence in academics usually improve as well.

What can you do?

• Join us as a tutor!
• Refer a volunteer tutor in the community.
• Come be a “support adult” to motivate and encourage these kids.
• Donate snacks and school supplies (see link below to our Amazon wish list).
• Provide rides to kids in the ward/stake who could benefit from coming.
