Talking Community-Engaged Learning

Do you teach a community-engaged learning course, connect students with community partners, or simply want to learn more about community-engaged teaching?

Join us for an informal, collaborative conversation with colleagues who are doing—or exploring—this work. We’ll make space to check in, commiserate, share stories, ask questions, exchange ideas, and seek support from one another.

Light facilitation will help get the conversation started, but this is not a workshop or presentation. The space is intended to be co-owned by everyone who attends, with the conversation shaped by the experiences, questions, and needs participants bring with them.

Whether you’re experienced in community-engaged learning, trying something new, or just curious, you’re welcome to join the conversation.

Meet your facilitator

Harold McNaron is committed to education as a tool for social justice. As Teaching, Learning and Engagement Associate, he supports faculty teaching community-based learning courses via one-on-one consultations, syllabi reviews, interactive workshops and more. An alum of PSU’s Graduate School of Education, Harold’s work is informed by the theory and practice he has gathered from his time in activist spaces, the nonprofit sector and student affairs.
