New Moon Tune-Up Sound Session: You Don't Have To Know Everything

You Don't Have To Know Everything Before You Act

What if you could experience yourself as a living Human Instrument?

We'll begin with a short, interactive introduction to The Human Instrument, using the musical scale and traditional bija, or seed sounds, associated with the seven primary energy centers. You'll use your own voice and experience what happens when your body becomes the instrument producing the sound.

Then you'll lie down, get comfortable, and simply receive.

Crystal singing bowls, gongs and other resonant instruments create an immersive landscape of sound, vibration and silence. You may notice changes in your breathing, tension, thoughts, emotions or attention. There is no particular state you're expected to reach.

Why Sound?

Sound travels as physical pressure waves that we hear and, at certain frequencies and intensities, can physically feel as vibration. Crystal singing bowls are made from quartz, which has genuine piezoelectric properties.

The musical notes and energy-center correspondences used in our opening tuning come from traditional and symbolic systems. We use them as an experiential map rather than claiming that individual notes medically tune specific glands or systems.

The New Moon Invitation

The Scorpio New Moon brings us into the territory of uncertainty, what lies beneath the surface, and what we don't yet completely understand.

In everyday life, something can happen and your body may respond before your mind knows what it means. A conversation changes. Unexpected information arrives. You feel an immediate urge to respond.

Reaction is information. It doesn't have to be the final note.

Return To Witness® invites you to notice what is happening without requiring it to stop or requiring yourself to understand it first.

Because there is a difference between reacting automatically and acting without having all the answers.

You Don't Have To Know Everything Before You Act.

Come experience your Human Instrument, receive the sound, and Start With What You Notice.

Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to settle in. Comfortable clothing is encouraged.

Yoga mats, blankets, eye masks, and bottled water are included.

Reception with tea service and snacks afterwards.
