Adult Beginners Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) Introduction Workshop

Ever wondered what Jiu Jitsu is all about but felt too intimidated to walk through the door? This workshop is designed specifically for YOU.

At EDJ School of Jiu Jitsu Riverside, we believe that the hardest part of BJJ is walking through the front door. That’s why we’ve created a dedicated Adult Beginners Workshop—a zero-pressure, high-encouragement environment where you can learn the fundamentals of the "Gentle Art."

Why Try Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?

• Practical Self-Defense: Learn how to protect yourself using leverage and technique rather than raw strength.
• Total Body Fitness: Forget the treadmill. BJJ is a functional workout that builds core strength, flexibility, and endurance.
• Stress Relief: There is no better way to clear your mind after a long workday than by focusing on learning a new skill on the mats.
• Community: Join a team of like-minded adults who support each other’s growth.

What to Expect

Our world-class instructors will guide you through a 90-minute session covering:

1. The Basics: Understanding BJJ philosophy and how it works.
2. Movement & Warm-up: Simple drills to get your body ready.
3. Fundamental Techniques: Learn 2-3 essential self-defense moves.
