Fun in the outdoors doesn’t have to end when the school year begins! Our naturalists will engage your students through self-guided exploration and seasonal activities such as nature hikes, fishing, fire building, campfire cooking, pond dipping and more. Afterward, we will head inside for a movie and other activities, don't forget to pack a pillow and blanket for the movie. Full outdoor gear, boots, and multiple changes of clothes (especially socks, gloves and hats) are necessary! We will be spending a lot of time outside, regardless of the weather. Please pack a light lunch, as we will only be offering hot dogs and s’mores.
For ages 7-12.
Participants will meet in the Calf Barn at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm. Please arrive on time as program content starts promptly and participants often venture out into the park. As a courtesy to wildlife and other participants, please leave your pets at home. Content such as changes/maps will be sent via email leading up to the program. Pre-registration is required.
