Join Pegasus Early Music at Payton Violins for an intimate evening of chamber music featuring Quartet Novalis, a New York City-based string quartet bringing a fresh perspective to works by Fanny Mendelssohn, Dvořák, Mozart, and Puccini.

Comprised of Eliana Estrada, Ela Kodžas, Annemarie Schubert, and Luka Stefanović, Quartet Novalis brings together four talented young musicians united by their curiosity, creativity, and passion for exploring music in new ways. Describing themselves as musical time travelers, the ensemble performs on historical instruments, drawing inspiration from the sounds and traditions of the 18th and 19th centuries. Their approach reveals new colors, textures, and expressive possibilities, inviting audiences to experience familiar works in a different light.

We are delighted to launch our new partnership with Payton Violins, whose welcoming space provides a wonderful setting for this salon-style concert. With a limited audience and an up-close performance, the evening offers a chance to experience chamber music in a relaxed and personal atmosphere.

This performance is part of Pegasus Rising, an initiative of Pegasus Early Music dedicated to supporting the next generation of professional musicians. Through professional performance opportunities and personalized mentorship, the program helps emerging artists develop their careers while bringing outstanding chamber music to unique spaces throughout Rochester. All Pegasus Rising concerts are free and open to the public.

This hour-long performance will be presented without intermission.

Admission is free, but advance tickets are required due to limited seating.
