Studio A Sessions: Montgomery County’s Live Open Mic Experience

Join Us for Studio A Sessions!

Real voices. Real stories. One stage.

Join us as talented local storytellers across multiple disciplines take the stage to share original work inspired by real-life experiences, culture, and creative expression. Built on total spontaneity, no two nights are ever the same. Performers are selected live at random from our applicant pool on the night of the event, meaning neither the audience nor the artists know who will take the stage next. Every performance is honest, powerful, and uniquely personal, creating an unpredictable night that will move, inspire, and spark conversation.

*Please note that due to time restraints, registration does not gaurantee the opportunity to perform

Calling all poets, singers, rappers, comedians and storytellers of all kinds! Has your story been told? You never know until you go. We're looking for artists to share original work around the following themes:

Traditions create a sense of identity and bridge the gap between generations through shared practices. In honor of the holiday season, share stories about cultural customs, beliefs, and rituals.

🎙️ Theme 2: Intimacy

From emotional connection to physical closeness, intimacy comes in many different forms. Share stories exploring this complicated, yet common, human experience.

Performer Guidelines:

• Original performances only
• Please stay on theme
• Props/notes are not permitted on stage
• Maximum performance length: 10 minutes
• Performances should be suitable for a live audience and recorded broadcast
