You know your content. You're a professional in your field.
And still when it's your turn to present to the board, speak up at a meeting, or answer the question you didn't see coming, something takes over.
Your voice tightens. Your mind goes blank. You reach for facts as a shield, or a joke to cover up what you really want to say. And afterward you replay the whole thing wondering what happened to the version of you that is competent, articulate, and warm.
You don't need more confidence. You need to stop freezing.
You've tried everything.
Practicing in the mirror. Writing the perfect script. Positive affirmations. Memorizing until you have it and then freezing worse when you have to go off script. You know what to do intellectually. The problem is it doesn't live in your head. It lives in your body.
What if the freeze isn't the enemy?
What if it's actually trying to tell you something?
In this half-day workshop we don't fight the freeze. We get curious about it. We work with what's actually happening in your body when fear shows up — where it comes from, what it's protecting, and what it wants you to know. When you stop trying to make it go away and start listening to it instead, something shifts.
This is the work that affirmations, mirror practice, and fake it until you make it can't do. It has to be practiced in the body and in a safe supportive community that gives you positive feedback EVERY time you talk!
Who this is for:
This workshop is for you if:
What you will walk away with:
✨ A better relatioinship and understanding of your body's response
✨ Techniques to work with the freeze instead of fighting it every time you step into the spotlight
✨ The ability to stay in the room - present, grounded, and connected to the vision that lives inside of you
✨Tools to recover your center when tech fails, an unexpected question lands, or the room shifts
✨ A small group of women who will celebrate you and give you positive feedback on who you are and what you naturally do well.
Why this works when other approaches haven't:
You already know your content. The freeze is not a knowledge problem, a public speaking problem or a confidence problem. It's a nervous system response that keeps you from being fully present. It's what happens in your body when the pressure is on and knowing that intellectually doesn't fix it. It has to be practiced, felt, and worked with directly. That's what we do here.
Meet your Host:
Cayla Catino (CC) is a Catalyst & Community Builder who helps individuals, organizations, and communities awaken their vision from the inside out.
After twenty years in nonprofit leadership leading rooms, facilitating change, and learning firsthand what it costs a woman to lead from a place of performance rather than presence, CC brings that experience into her work as an embodied speaking coach.
In her workshops and programs, she blends somatic coaching, mindfulness, energy work, and the WomanSpeak™ method into a body-based approach that goes where performance based tips and techniques can't: into the nervous system, where the freeze actually lives. Her work is for women who are done managing the fear and ready to return home to themselves.
CC believes that real transformation emerges from within, when we finally stop doing what we've always done and start listening to what we've always known.
