Techstars Startup Weekend Salisbury brings together aspiring entrepreneurs, students, developers, designers, marketers, business professionals, and creative thinkers for an immersive 54-hour experience.

Over the course of one weekend, you will meet new people, share ideas, form a team, and work together to take an idea from concept to final pitch—with guidance from experienced mentors and coaches along the way.

You don't need to be an entrepreneur. You don't need a business idea. And you don't need a technical background.

You just need to be ready to jump in.

Over an action-packed three days, you will meet the very best mentors, investors, co-founders, and sponsors to show you how to get more done faster — and maybe even start that Business.

How the Weekend Works

FRIDAY — Pitch & Team Up

Meet your fellow participants, hear ideas, pitch one of your own if you'd like, vote on concepts and form teams around the ideas you will spend the weekend developing.

Registration, Dinner & Networking 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

Kick Off 6:30 - 7:15 p.m.

Break - 7:15 - 7:30 p.m.
Pitches - 7:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Voting - 8:00 - 8:15 p.m.

Team Formation - 8:15 - 8:45 p.m.

Begin Work - 8:45 p.m. - 12:.00 a.m.

SATURDAY — Build & Be Mentored

This is where the work really begins. Teams develop their concepts, test assumptions, and work toward a minimum viable product. Throughout the day, mentors will meet with teams to provide guidance, expertise, and a fresh perspective.

Venue open: 8:00 a.m.–11:30 p.m.
Breakfast begins at 8:45 a.m.

Work starts at 10:00 a.m.

Lunch at 12:00 p.m.

Mentor sessions start at 2:00 p.m.

Dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Work until venue closes

SUNDAY — Present & Celebrate

Teams put the finishing touches on their ideas and presentations before taking the stage for final pitches. Judges deliberate, winners are announced and the weekend concludes with networking and celebration.

Venue open: 8:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m.

Breakfast begins at 9:00 a.m.
Work begins at 10:00 a.m.

Lunch at 12:00 p.m.

Early dinner at 5:00 p.m.

Final pitches begin at 6:00 p.m.
Winners announced at 7:50 p.m.

Celebrate and network at 8:30 p.m.

Go home by 10:00 p.m.

What You Need to Know Before Registering

Participants must be 18 years of age or older.

Startup Weekend Salisbury is an in-person, three-day experience. Participants should plan to take part throughout the weekend.

What should I bring?
Essentials

· Laptop and charger (for pitch decks, mockups, research, coordination)

· Business cards (or virtual cards), if you have them (great for quick networking)

· A notebook and pen for old-school note-taking during pitches and workshops

Personal comfort items

· A valid photo ID (often needed for building/venue check-in)

· A water bottle

· A change of clothes or comfortable layers — these events typically run long hours (Friday evening through Sunday night), and rooms can get cold or warm depending on the venue

· Snacks, if you have dietary restrictions the venue might not fully cover

· Toiletries/a toothbrush for a refresh, as most teams work long hours and the venue is open late

Mindset-oriented "bring" items

· An open mind and a willingness to collaborate with strangers

· A business idea — but also flexibility, since teams often pivot after pitches

· Enthusiasm and energy, since the event is intense and team-based

Additional Items

· A phone charger/battery pack

· Any specific materials relevant to your idea (sketches, existing prototypes, research)

· Cash or a card – just in case
