Diridon Station San Carlos St & Park Ave Projects Neighborhood Meeting

The Diridon Station Program is a collection of proposed projects organized into two groups: Station Elements and Southern Roadway Projects. The goal is for Diridon Station to accommodate future growth and ridership, connect different transit systems, and integrate with planned land use in the City of San José downtown area.

Station Elements are parts of the station that will be added or changed, such as the tracks, platforms, concourse, historic depot, and more.

Southern Roadway Projects will modify street crossings where Park Avenue, San Carlos Street, Auzerais Avenue, and West Virginia Street meet the train tracks.

Park Avenue will be narrowed to allow for adjacent land to be developed. The existing San Carlos Street roadway bridge will be replaced as the current one is substandard. This neighborhood meeting is a great opportunity to learn more about how you may be affected, and give input on your concerns and perspectives on these changes.

El Programa de la Estación Diridon reúne una serie de proyectos propuestos que se dividen en dos grupos: Elementos de la Estación y Proyectos Viales del Sur. Su objetivo es preparar la Estación Diridon para el crecimiento futuro y el aumento del número de pasajeros, mejorar las conexiones entre los distintos sistemas de transporte público e integrar la estación con los planes de desarrollo urbano del centro de San José.

Los Elementos de la Estación incluyen las partes de la estación que se incorporarán o modificarán, como las vías del tren, los andenes, las zonas de conexión entre los distintos servicios de transporte, el edificio histórico de la estación y otros elementos.

Los Proyectos Viales del Sur modificarán los cruces donde Park Avenue, la calle San Carlos, Auzerais Avenue y la calle West Virginia se encuentran con las vías del tren.

Se reducirá el ancho de Park Avenue para permitir el desarrollo de los terrenos adyacentes. Además, se reemplazará el puente actual de la calle de San Carlos, ya que no cumple con los estándares actuales. Esta reunión comunitaria es una excelente oportunidad para conocer cómo podrían afectarle estos cambios y compartir sus inquietudes, opiniones y perspectivas sobre las propuestas.
