Jeffrey Martin In Concert w/Sam Weber - The Wax @ Kin Commons

Join us for a new quarterly series of Santa Barbara community gatherings at the intersection of the arts, ideas, and conversation called The Wax @ Kin Commons!

Kin Commons is excited to welcome musicians Jeffrey Martin and Sam Weber for our Fall 2026 event -- a special, intimate evening live in concert on Thursday, November 12th, 2026.

Jeffrey Martin has been reaching for quiet and stories since he was a kid hiding under the covers with a Discman. He wrote his way through a writing degree, a teaching degree, and years of high school English classes filled with unruly brilliance, all while making records and playing shows whenever he could. Eventually, he left teaching to follow the same dream he encouraged his students to chase. After releasing Thank God We Left the Garden, he recorded Alive July 25, 2025, a no-edits live album captured in Portland with Sam Weber. Jeffrey tours full time now, still missing teaching like an old friend he’ll meet again.

Don't miss this beautiful evening of story, song, contemplation, and community connection!

This event is hosted by Kin Commons, a local space where ancient spiritual practices meet the longings of this moment located at a historic downtown Santa Barbara church. In the midst of a frenzied and fragmented world — where so many of us feel overwhelmed and disconnected from one another and what is sacred — we gather to be grounded in presence, to belong to a community shaped by love, and to become people who cultivate lives of shared responsibility for recovering wholeness and neighborliness in our time. Check out our site and keep up with us!

Come early for a little pre-event social time, grab a drink, and let's get the evening started right!
