Calling All Mushroom Enthusiasts!!

Mushrooms of Sonoma County

Presented by Ryath Fujita Beauchene
Sonoma County Mycological Association

Join Ryath Fujita Beauchene for a fascinating exploration of the mushrooms and fungi found throughout Sonoma County. The presentation will introduce the incredible diversity of our local fungal world, including how mushrooms live, where and when they appear, and how to begin identifying some of the species found in our region.

Learn about the essential role fungi play in healthy forests, gardens, and ecosystems — from breaking down organic matter and recycling nutrients to forming important relationships with plants and trees. Ryath will also share insights into Sonoma County’s unique mushroom ecology and help participants gain a greater appreciation for the fungi growing all around us.

Whether you’re an experienced mushroom enthusiast, a gardener, a nature lover, or simply mushroom-curious, everyone is welcome.

Includes Q&A and discussion.
