Our team here at Northwell Phelps Hospital Thrombectomy Stroke Center in Sleepy Hollow is hosting our inaugural Stroke Fair this October 29th (World Stroke Day)
This special educational event focuses on the multi-facets of stroke care here at Phelps where guests will engage with clinicians from each of our disciplines from EMS through discharge. Our goal is to create an enjoyable experience that informs the community about stroke prevention, risk reduction, and brain health, and invites guests to learn directly from our stroke team clinicians.
Clinician teams represented will include EMS, Emergency Department, Radiology, Neurology, Nursing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Critical Care, Case Management, and more!
We will also offer blood pressure screenings, stroke risk factor assessments, and facilitate scheduling primary care visits. Lunch vouchers will also be provided for each guest to dine in our hospital cafeteria.
Participation is free and spaces are limited. Please email aferraro2@northwell.edu with any questions.
For healthcare professionals who direct or participate in the management of cardiac arrest, stroke, or other cardiopulmonary emergencies.
