Bring your book bestie or come meet other readers while painting pottery at The Pottery Shop. Think mountains and stars, roses and vines, or a piece inspired by your favorite court.

Pricing

$9 studio fee per painter, plus the cost of the pottery you choose. Your studio fee includes use of our paints, brushes, and supplies, plus glazing and firing.

What to Expect

• Beginner-friendly pottery painting—no experience needed
• Bookish silkscreens and design inspiration to help you get started
• A selection of book-shaped pottery alongside our regular shelves of mugs, plates, bowls, and more
• A relaxed evening to connect with fellow readers

Choose your own piece and design—everyone is welcome to paint something different. Book-shaped pieces are available while supplies last; the pictured project is inspiration.

Keep It Spoiler-Free

You don’t need to have finished the newest book to join us! Please keep conversations about the new release spoiler-free so everyone can enjoy the evening.

Painting Time

Reserve your preferred arrival time between 5–9 PM. Painting sessions last up to 2½ hours or until closing at 9 PM, whichever comes first. Book an earlier time if you’d like the full session.

Firing & Pickup

Leave your pottery with us for glazing and firing. Finished pieces are generally ready for pickup in approximately 14 days.

Before You Book

• Please arrive 10 minutes before your reservation to select your pottery.
• Everyone attending is expected to paint.
• Wear clothes that can get messy.
• Court colors and bookish outfits are welcome!
