Capitol Creations: Black Light Painting at the Old State Capitol

History is about to GLOW!

Join All Paint and Studio on 6th for a special October edition of Capitol Creations, part of our Create IN History series at the historic Old State Capitol.

Every Saturday in October, we're turning down the lights and turning UP the creativity with BLACK LIGHT PAINTING!

Choose from a collection of fun, spooky and glowing designs, then follow along step-by-step to create your own masterpiece under black lights. Watch your colors come alive as you paint!

This is a family-friendly creative experience for kids of ALL ages—little artists, teens, parents, grandparents, friend groups, scout groups and anyone who wants to make a little history while making some art.

October Saturdays: October 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31
Time: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
Location: Old State Capitol, 2 E. Adams Street, Springfield, Illinois
Pricing: $35–$120 with individual and family/group options available

No painting experience needed. No talent required! All Paint provides the supplies, instruction and encouragement—you bring your people and your willingness to have some glowing good fun.

CREATE IN HISTORY

Our Create IN History series brings hands-on art experiences into some of Springfield's incredible historic spaces. Instead of simply visiting history, we're creating new memories right inside it.

Bring the kids. Bring the grandparents. Grab your friends. Make it a family morning.

Everyone belongs. Everyone can create. And YES—you can paint!
