Macrame is a type of textile that is produced by making knots. There are various kinds of knots that can be used, and they can be combined in an infinite number of ways to create both functional and aesthetic pieces.
This introductory class will cover basic macrame knots needed to complete one plant hanger, which each participant will be able to bring home. The instructor plans to offer intermediate classes in the future. She hopes to instill an interest in this craft and a desire to continue to learn additional knots and patterns in order to create wall hangings, more advanced plant hangers, and unique pieces.
