No Time to Lose: Paintings by Rommie Martinez

Journey into the world's oceans this October with "No Time to Lose," a vivid new Pop Art-style series from St. Louis artist and author Rommie Martinez.

Martinez, born and raised in St. Louis, spent years as an illustrator and hair and makeup artist before turning inward in 2020 and returning to her roots as a painter. That shift sparked "The Adventures of Eco Girl," a series following a teenage heroine devoted to protecting endangered marine species — soon to become a book in 2026!

Bring your young people! With its teenage heroine, bold compositions and environmental activism theme, this is a great show to share with kids and teens.

Opening Reception: Sunday, October 4, 2:00 – 6:00 PM

Join us to celebrate the launch of "No Time to Lose" and meet the artist in person.

Then come back all month long — meet the artist every Sunday in October from 2:00 – 6:00 PM. Martinez will be on-site to talk with visitors about the work, while the gallery transforms into an immersive undersea world with whale songs and moody lighting.

The immersive experience is also available by appointment on select weekdays, Oct 4 - Nov 1. Call or text to arrange: 314-707-9908.
