2026 Update. This update class is for all current CSU Extension food safety certificate holders. It is NOT a renewal, rather an update of changes made to the Colorado Cottage Food Act in 2026. You will be required to attend an update class before January 1, 2027, when the changes go into effect. We are expecting this update to be approximately 2 hours depending on participant questions.
This training will cover food safety when handling time and temperature-controlled foods (TCS), eligible and not eligible items, transporting TCS items, label requirements, and changes to the Act.
There will be a test that you will need to pass with 80% or higher. You will receive an update sticker to place on your current certificate indicating you’ve had the update.
For questions about registration, please contact Katie Maloney at kmaloney@co.routt.co.us.
You will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom link from Eventbrite following your registration. You will also receive a reminder email from CSU Extension & from Eventbrite 2-5 days prior to the class. Please check your junk, spam or promotions folder for this email if it doesn't appear in your inbox.
You will need access to a good internet connection to view the webinar, but you do not need a camera or a microphone. You could also connect via your smart phone.
Preregistration is required.
If you wish to pay by check, please register by contacting Katie Maloney at kmaloney@co.routt.co.us. Si desea pagar en efectivo o con cheque, por favor regístrese contactando con Katie Maloney at kmaloney@co.routt.co.us.
