Reading
At our last meeting we talked quite a bit about using maxims in our practice, and we read through 5b on pg. 47 of the Handbook/Enchiridion, so we’ll pick up with #6 next time. Have a look ahead and note any questions you might have.If you prefer to receive notifications by email, please send your request to intayamat@cox.net
For our practical application, let’s try General Exercises #2 (pg. 33). It’s a two-part daily practice: a Morning Preparation, where you think through situations that may (or may not) arise during the day and how you’d like to meet them, and an Evening Review, where you note behaviors and reactions that could have gone better. Be prepared to share a little of how it went. Bonus points for an instance where the morning preparation actually came into play.
As usual, the group will set the pace rather than rushing to cover everything.
