The week before Thanksgiving can bring lists, travel, cooking, hosting, family expectations and the quiet responsibility of making sure everyone else has what they need.
Even if your holiday looks different, this season can intensify the feeling that something—or someone—always needs your attention.
Sacred Stillness: You Get to Receive is an invitation to step away from those responsibilities and enter a space that has already been prepared for you.
I do the setting up. You do the receiving.
Your mat, blankets, supportive props and reflection materials will be waiting when you arrive. Through gentle restorative movement, intentional breath, private reflection, stillness and sound healing, you’ll be supported in moving out of constant giving and into a posture of receiving.
Sound is not simply background music during Sacred Stillness. Singing bowls and other resonant instruments are used intentionally to support relaxation and help guide your attention away from the thinking, anticipating and doing.
For these 90 minutes, you will not be responsible for creating the experience, managing the room or taking care of anyone else.
Everything is invitational. You are encouraged to listen to your body and participate in the ways that feel most supportive to you.
You will not be asked to share personal details or explain what you are carrying. Sacred Stillness allows you to feel connected to the women around you while honoring your need for quiet and privacy.
You do not need to be flexible, and you do not need experience with yoga, meditation or sound healing. You also do not need to arrive already feeling peaceful.
This is not a traditional yoga class. There are no complicated sequences, expectations to perform or requirements to achieve a particular pose.
You may sit, lie down, use supportive props, modify movement or simply rest when your body asks for it.
Nothing to prepare.
Nothing to figure out.
No forced sharing.
Your resting space will be waiting for you.
You’ve been doing enough. Come be still.
Slow down. Breathe deep. Return to yourself.
