Coco featuring the Caldwell Mariachi Band

Kick off Tyler’s Día de los Muertos celebration with an evening of music, culture, and film at Liberty Hall!

On October 30, join us for a special live performance by the talented student musicians of Caldwell Arts Academy’s Mariachi. The ensemble will perform traditional mariachi favorites before the screening of Disney and Pixar’s Coco, setting the stage for a film that beautifully celebrates music, family, memory, and Mexican tradition.

Guests are invited to take part in the celebration by bringing a photo of a loved one to place on the community ofrenda, located in the Liberty Hall foyer. Together, these photographs will create a meaningful tribute honoring the lives and memories of those who are no longer with us.

This special evening at Liberty Hall serves as the kickoff to Caldwell Arts Academy’s Día de los Muertos celebration, with the festivities continuing Sunday in downtown Tyler.

Come experience the sounds of mariachi, the magic of Coco, and the beginning of a weekend celebrating family, remembrance, and the rich traditions of Día de los Muertos.
