UVA ROTC Veterans Day Ceremony
About This Event
Join the University of Virginia ROTC programs as we honor the service and sacrifice of America’s veterans. This annual Veterans Day Ceremony brings together veterans, military families, cadets, university leaders, alumni, and community members for a meaningful observance of military service and dedication to our nation.
The ceremony will feature traditional military customs, patriotic music, recognition of veterans in attendance, and remarks by Major General Robert A. Borcherding, 23rd Deputy Judge Advocate General of the United States Army. The program celebrates the contributions of those who have served while highlighting the commitment of UVA’s ROTC cadets to future service and leadership.
All members of the UVA and Charlottesville communities are welcome to attend.
Accessibility Notice: This ceremony will include a ceremonial 21-gun salute. Loud noises may be difficult for some attendees, including veterans and others affected by PTSD, combat-related stress, or sensory sensitivities. Guests are encouraged to plan accordingly and consider bringing hearing protection if desired.
