Art Opening: Jen Martin

Come out to meet this month's artist-in-residence: Jen Martin!

Jen Martin is a mixed-media artist drawn to color and texture, and the energy that happens when they come together. She works with paint, collage, and hand-designed papers to build layered, vibrant worlds that invite you to look closer.

Her journey as an artist began in kindergarten, when she got in trouble for coloring outside the lines and using the “wrong” colors. Her mother, an artist herself, told her to keep going. She taught her to trust what felt true, not what was expected.

Jen’s work speaks to transformation—to the shifting spaces between who we are and who we’re becoming. It calls to us to embrace the most authentic version of ourselves and listen to our instincts and intuition.
