Framed Resin Art Workshop

Join our Resin Art Workshop!

Our friends at Sons of Liberty in South Kingstown, RI are hosting us, so get ready for a fun and hands-on Framed Resin Art Workshop! Whether you’re a total newbie or just looking for a creative night out, this is the perfect opportunity to experiment with color, texture, and design while creating your own one-of-a-kind piece of art.

You’ll start with a small picture frame and choose from a selection of templates (the images shown above are just examples - you will get to choose one of over a dozen templates or go rogue and design your own) to help guide your design. We’ll provide the resin, sand, shells, colored aggregate, and an assortment of other decorative materials so you can mix, match, layer, and arrange your creation however you like. Bring your curiosity and creativity—we’ll supply the materials, good vibes, and plenty of step-by-step instruction and guidance so you can go home with a wicked cool piece of framed resin art that is uniquely yours.

So come spend an evening with us and, as we like to say, Make something that doesn’t suck.™

Food and Drinks

Sons of Liberty is a distillery, and their Tasting Room offers a select menu of small bites in addition to their spirits, served either straight or in cocktails. To support our hosts, we encourage attendees to arrive early and enjoy what SOL has to offer for food and drink.

From the Sons of Liberty:

“Feel free to bring in your own food to enjoy. We do have small bites available for purchase as well as recurring food pop-ups. We only ask that you don’t bring in outside food during our monthly Food Truck Night that can feature up to 5–6 different food trucks.”

Please visit the Sons of Liberty website for additional details:

Tools & Materials

The registration fee includes the use of all the tools and materials you will need to make your masterpiece. Because the resin will not be completely cured by the end of the workshop, we’ll also provide a small box to help you safely transport your creation home while it finishes curing.

Clothing

Resin does not play well with others. Because accidents do happen, we recommend wearing something you wouldn’t mind getting stained or damaged—jewelry and watches included. Cloth aprons are provided to help keep you clean, but they will not protect your clothing or personal items 100%.

Glitter Policy

Don’t even think about it. While we may appreciate your enthusiasm and interest in shiny things, please do not bring glitter to our workshops. Glitter is very unwelcome at our venues and makes an absolute mess if spilled in any amount. If you spill it, you will be responsible for cleanup. If you bring glitter to a workshop, you will be asked to remove it from the venue and return it to your vehicle or otherwise secure it away from the workshop area.

Refund Policy

Refunds, minus Eventbrite service fees, are available up to 7 days before the event.

For cancellations made less than 7 days before the event, refunds are not available; however, at our discretion, your registration may be transferred to another available workshop or applied as a credit toward a future Artsy Fartsy workshop.

No-shows are not eligible for a refund.

If we cancel the workshop, attendees will receive a full refund.
