The Medicine Within Your Voice

Discover The Medicine Within Your Voice

Your voice is more than a form of communication—it can offer a meaningful way to express emotions, release what has been held within, and support a greater sense of regulation.

Join us for an immersive experience centered on somatic voice activation. Supported by ceremonial cacao, rhythmic drumming, intentional sound, and a restorative sound bath, you’ll be invited to explore the medicine already living within your own voice.

This is not a singing class, and you do not need to consider yourself a singer. There are no correct notes and nothing to perform. Through breath, humming, natural vowel sounds, vibration, and shared vocal expression, we will explore what it feels like to give sound to what may have been held within the body.

Every part of this experience is voluntary and invitational. You are welcome to participate in whatever way feels most comfortable—including using your full voice, making quieter sounds, humming, listening, remaining seated, stepping out, or pausing at any time. There is no pressure to sing, share, or perform.

What to Expect

• An opening grounding practice
• Ceremonial cacao and intention setting
• Guided somatic voice activation
• Breath, humming, vowel sounds, vibration, and rhythmic drumming
• Space for personal and collective expression
• An immersive sound bath for rest and integration
• Time to gently reconnect and close in community
• Light snacks for nourishment served afterwards

This experience may be especially meaningful if you have been feeling emotionally restricted, disconnected from your voice, hesitant to express yourself, or simply curious about experiencing sound in a more embodied way.

No previous experience with cacao, voice activation, or sound meditation is needed.

What to Bring

Mats, blankets, and eye masks will be provided. You are welcome to bring water and any additional cozy items that will help you feel comfortable.

Sound Sensitivity

This experience includes vocal sounds, rhythmic drumming, crystal singing bowls, and other therapeutic instruments. Volume and intensity may vary throughout the session.

If you are sensitive to sound, you are encouraged to bring earplugs or other hearing protection and choose a position farther away from the instruments. You may also step out or pause your participation at any time.

Cacao and Sound Considerations

Ceremonial cacao may not be appropriate for everyone. Please consult your healthcare provider before participating if you:

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have a heart condition or heart-rhythm concern
• Have uncontrolled high blood pressure
• Experience migraines or digestive sensitivity
• Are sensitive to caffeine or other stimulants
• Take medications that may interact with cacao

Sound experiences may not be appropriate for individuals with sound-sensitive epilepsy, certain implanted medical devices, significant sound sensitivity, or during the first trimester of pregnancy. Please contact the facilitator before registering if you have questions or would like to discuss accommodations.
