What if we have misunderstood the “Uncanny Valley” (不気味の谷; bukimi no tani) from the start? Japanese engineer Mori Masahiro’s original idea was more than simply a warning about robots that look almost human. He offered a broader perspective on design, perception, and how people react to technology. Drawing on newly discovered sources, this talk will explore what Mori meant and why his insight still matters today.
For more information about the talk, visit the event webpage.
Registered guests will be seated on a first come, first served basis. Please note that seating is limited and registration does not guarantee guests a seat.
