NOAH WEILAND (SCOTT WEILAND’S SON) BECOMES NEW SINGER OF LA ROCK BAND ZEPHYRING

Noah Weiland, the 25-year-old son of the late legendary Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland, has officially been named the new lead singer of the Los Angeles rock band Zephyring.

The band and Noah announced the news via social media following the release of their latest album, Mantraman Or Astroman?, in August 2026.

Noah initially gained widespread attention as the frontman for the short-lived legacy supergroup Suspect208 that disbanded in 2020. The lineup included London Hudson (son of Slash) and Tye Trujillo (son of Metallica's Robert Trujillo). Last year, he performed a tribute concert honoring his late father on the 10th anniversary of Scott Weiland's passing. Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver songs filled the show.

Zephyring released two albums before Weiland joined. Both Hydraphantasy and Detournement were produced by the late Steve Albini, who produced Nirvana's In Utero, Pixies' Surfer Rosa, and PJ Harvey's Rid of Me. Grunge Pop Records released the albums, a label advised by Sub Pop Records founder Bruce Pavitt, who signed Nirvana and Soundgarden.

In addition to Noah, the band features lead guitarist Frank Salazar, rhythm guitarist Pyn Doll, bassist Gabe Maska, and drummer Kyle Brian.

Noah will make his live debut with Zephyring on December 4th at Los Angeles’ Viper Room.
