Forest Friends Grand Finale: Peak Color Fall Fairy & Gnome Adventure

Step into a real-life autumn storybook for our grand finale celebration under the peak fall colors of Pete's Pond!

Welcome to the grand finale of our Fall Outdoor Wellness series—delightfully crafted for our "Forest Friends" child and adult duos! To celebrate the final turn of the wheel, we are gathering at the beautiful Pete's Pond Preserve. Surrounded by winding trails, reflective waters, and (fingers crossed!) absolute peak autumn color, this special afternoon is a magical celebration of outdoor play, literature, and seasonal wonder.

Families are warmly invited to lean into the magic by dressing up in optional fairy, sprite, or gnome themed attire to match our whimsical forest trail theme!

🎒 Our Grand Finale Flow

• The Check-In & "Fairy Walk" Storytime: We will gather at the main trailhead parking lot. Look for our signature colorful pinwheels! To ground our energy and kick off the adventure, we will read a whimsical children's book all about a magical fairy walk. Your host's sweet pup will be joining us live as our official canine nature ambassador to match the dog featured in the story!
• Playful Yoga & Breathwork: Before setting off down the path, we will gather together for a few light, simple stretches and fun breathing exercises to wake up our bodies and connect with the natural world around us using our imaginations.
• The Seek-and-Find Scavenger Hunt: We will take a gentle, scenic hike along the flat trail toward the pond overlook. Every child will be given a playful Seek-and-Find Autumn Scavenger Hunt to help them train their "explorer eyes" to spot hidden forest treasures, acorn caps, mossy beds, and the bright changing colors of the canopy.
• Fall Fairy-Themed Craft Station: Arriving at our clearing, we will open an open-ended autumn fairy craft invitation. Children will collaborate with their adults to weave raw elements from the forest floor into a magical, whimsical keepsake to take home.
• Closing Circle & Final Celebration: We will finish our final series gathering by celebrating our journey, capturing group photos in our festive attire, and bidding a joyful farewell to the beautiful autumn woods.

• What to Wear: Comfortable, weather-appropriate layers. Festive fairy wings, gnome hats, and whimsical costumes are highly encouraged! Sturdy walking shoes or sneakers are recommended for the trail.
