Have you always wanted to draw, but weren't sure where to start? Maybe you used to draw and would love to get back to it. Or perhaps you simply want to become more comfortable putting pencil to paper.
Your Drawing, Your Way is a three-week workshop designed to give you the freedom to explore drawing on your own terms, with guidance and encouragement along the way.
Rather than following one set project, you choose what you want to draw. Bring a favorite object, a photograph, a plant, your hands, something from your imagination, or simply an idea you've been wanting to try. Artist and instructor Lea Bäcksteiner will help you work through the challenges that come up and introduce techniques that can strengthen your drawing.
Over the three weeks, you'll explore practical drawing skills through demonstrations, exercises, individual feedback, and plenty of time to draw.
No fixed subject. No pressure to create a perfect drawing. No need to consider yourself an artist.
Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to experiment. You'll leave with new skills, more confidence, and a better understanding of how you like to draw.
Bring a sketchbook or drawing pad and your favorite drawing materials. You are also welcome to bring a photograph or object you'd like to work from.
This workshop is for curious beginners, returning artists, and anyone who wants to draw more confidently. Whether you're picking up a pencil for the first time in years or already enjoy drawing, you'll have room to work at your own level and follow your own interests.
Come with an idea, come with an object, or come with a blank page. We'll take it from there.
