Business Owners Giving Back (BOGB) invites you to a special evening honoring our veterans, featuring guest speaker Ben Breckheimer.
About Ben Breckheimer:
Ben began his service as an Army medic, treating wounded soldiers at Brooke Army Medical Center. He later deployed as a cavalry scout, and in 2009 his vehicle was struck by an IED an injury that nearly cost him his leg. He spent two months undergoing treatment and a limb salvage program at Brooke Army Medical Center, followed by extended rehabilitation.
Rather than let that setback define him, Ben set an extraordinary goal during his recovery: to climb the highest peak on every continent. He achieved it becoming the first Purple Heart recipient to complete all Seven Summits. Today he's known as a veteran, mountaineer, and adventurer whose story is one of resilience, grit, and purpose beyond the battlefield.
Ben will share his story of resilience, recovery, and the journey that's shaped his life since his service.
All proceeds from this event will benefit So Every BODY Can Move, a grassroots advocacy initiative founded by the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association, NAAOP, Amputee Coalition, and AAOP. They're working state-by-state to pass legislation requiring insurance coverage for activity-specific prosthetic and orthotic devices so people with limb loss and limb differences, including veterans, aren't priced out of the equipment they need to run, climb, and stay active. Their goal: legislation in 28 states by the 2028 LA Paralympics.
Please note the admission + dinner does not include drinks or appetizer. Your choice of meal will be taken at the event.
