THE WKNDR

This WKNDR event was put together by Margie Montes with the vision to introduce different genres of dance through workshops by talented instructors, for the purpose of improving dancers' overall capacity.

The purpose of this weekend event is to create an opportunity for participants to acquire new skills in different genres, and be inspired through learning and practicing.

Through exposure to unfamiliar styles and instructors, participants will gain an awareness of how to develop beyond their current capacity. Both as a matter of imagination and skill, participants will see a path toward growth by engaging new ideas, sounds, methods of learning, and ways of moving.

Instructors at the WKNDR have been strongly encouraged to read the room during workshops, ensuring that regardless of the participants skill level, the content of the workshop and the instructional methods are accessible. All skill levels are welcome to participate.

Access to the offerings of the WKNDR can be experienced in different ways.

Full Passes: allow for particpants to attend all the workshops and all the socials throughout the weekend.

Day Passes: "Saturday Pass," and "Sunday Pass" allow for the workshop and social of that day.

Social Pass: Anyone with a social pass can attend all the socials associated with the event including SOCIAL 78 - the Friday night Pre-Party at Kearny Point, the Saturday night social at Starlight Ballroom which includes the opening Bachata Master Class with Fausto & The Kingsmen, and the Sunday night social at MDN Dance Studio in Belleville..

COMPLIMENTARY TEE

Everyone who purchases a ticket from NJ Salsa on Eventbrite will receive a complimentary NJ Salsa tee shirt in either a crew-neck cut, or v-neck cut, when they check in at the event. At check out, we will ask you the desired size of the tee shirt that comes with your purchase.
